Net migration rate to Taichung reached 14,367 in 2015, making the city the second-best city to move in. Taichung City enjoys the convenience of transportation and location, offers unique living environment, houses an enormous hinterland for future development and locates at a favorable location. Furthermore, Mayor Lin, Chia-Lung has been promoting several policies centered around building a livable city since he took office. Therefore, Taichung is attracting new residents and it helps fill the labor market like a big magnet.
